MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MfDF
STEFAN BONANNO
Chairman
Fr Stefan has twenty years of experience in the local and foreign media scenes. He is the mind behind the idea of pushing Media Literacy Education as a VET subject relying heavily on the hands‑on approach, instead of a theory based one. He is also the founder and chairman of the MfDF.
SIMON CALLUS
Secretary
Simon has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and an MFA in Digital Arts from the University of Malta. He is one of the primary trainers of the MfDF. In addition, he formed part of the team which initiated Media Literacy Education at MQF Level 3 in Malta and today forms part of the MATSEC syllabus board for this same subject.
ALBERT DEBONO
Treasurer
Albert Debono is a youthworker, with a number of years of experience in work related to volunteer management, social enterprise, and development work. He is Head of Student Advisory Services for career guidance at the University of Malta from where he also graduated as Master in Youth & Community Studies.
MICHAEL PACE ROSS
Board Member
Michael Pace Ross is the Administrative Secretary of the Archdiocese of Malta, following his appointment by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna. He is also a non-executive director of APS Bank. He previously served as Director General of the National Statistics Office for six years, sitting on a number of national and European committees.
